SeQuant ZIC-HILIC Columns from MilliporeSigma

Description

ZIC®-HILIC columns utilize a porous silica stationary phase that carries a covalently bonded, zwitterionic functional group allowing the analyses of polar and hydrophilic compounds.

HILIC columns are typically used with 50-95% acetonitrile in an aqueous buffer such as ammonium acetate. This mobile phase is just like the mobile phase used with reversed-phase columns, but the elution order in HILIC is typically the reverse of that in RPLC – the more water-soluble the sample, the stronger the retention. In addition, the high organic content in the mobile phase provides better analyte ionization and increased sensitivity for many polar compounds in LC/MS. ZIC®-HILIC columns are available packed with either 3 or 5 µm particles in various formats, from classical analytical and capillary columns to preparative dimensions.
